Der Song Morphing ist eine Ode an die Verwandlung. Emotionen werden zu Musik, Gedanken zu Rhythmen und Melodien.
Das gleichnamige Album, das am 3. Mai 2026 digital released wurde, ist eine Reise durch Lebensphasen und Jahreszeiten. Es geht um fließende Übergänge, Naturzyklen, die sich im Innen spiegeln, Identitäts-Fragen, das Wachsen und Loslassen. Viola bewegt sich frei im Genre Vocal Jazz, setzt sich im Prozess des Schreibens und Produzierens im kleinen Home-Studio keine Grenzen, was Instrumentierung oder Genres betrifft. Einflüsse von Latin-Jazz, Nu Soul, World Music, elektronischer Musik sind zu hören, aber auch Anklänge von Alter Musik. Lyrische Melodien, renaissance-artige Chöre treffen auf Groove. Die Stimme fungiert als Instrument, ist klar das wichtigste Ausdrucksmittel auf diesem Album.
Das einstige „Corona-Home-Studio-Projekt“, das dann doch länger auf seine Fertigstellung warten musste, ist nun endlich released.
The album Morphing is a journey through phases of life and seasons. It is about fluid transitions, natural cycles that are reflected internally, questions of identity, growing and letting go. Viola moves freely within the vocal jazz genre and sets no limits on herself in terms of instrumentation or genre boundaries when writing and producing in her small home studio. Influences from Latin Jazz and Nu Soul can be heard, but there are also echoes of Early Music. Lyrical melodies and Renaissance-style choirs meet groove. The voice functions as an instrument and is clearly the most important means of expression on this album.
